Benching & cages:

Benching space is 70×70 cm per entry. Please note that no more than two kittens or one cat may be benched in a single space.

Each exhibitor must bring own cages. If you don’t have your own cages, we have limited number of cages available for rent. Please contact us for reservations by e-mail info@cfalatvia.org.

Sanitary requirements:

This is a vetted show – veterinary inspection prior to benching will be required! All cats must be clinically healthy (free of fungus, parasites and infectious diseases). All claws of each entry must be clipped prior to benching.

According to the legal acts of the Republic of Latvia, all cats entering the show hall:

• must have a valid EU or International pet vaccination passport;
• must be microchipped;
• must be vaccinated against feline viral diseases and rabies at least 21 days before the show, if it is the first vaccination. Repeated vaccinations must be done on time and comply with the expiration date indicated in the vaccination passport. If the expiration date is missed, then the vaccination is considered as the first and must be done not later than 21 days before the show;
• lactating and pregnant females in the second part of pregnancy (over 30 days) are not allowed;
• cats, which are permanently living in Latvia, must be registered in Agricultural Data Center.

Kittens under 4 months of age and declawed cats will not be allowed in the show hall.

Important!

According to CFA Show Rule 6.21 all entries must be paid in full within 10 days of receipt or prior to the start of the show, whichever is first. Only after full payment the entry will be confirmed.

Cancellations are not allowed 15 days prior the start of the show and the entry fee must be paid in full.

The exhibitors must accept and comply with the CFA’s rules. All exhibitors in CFA shows are expected to follow the CFA Exhibitor’s Code of Ethics. A violation of the Exhibitor’s Code of Ethics may be considered unsportsmanlike conduct.

All entries in Championship (except Novice), Premiership (except Novice), registered Kittens and registered Household Pets will be scored for CFA awards.

The cats cannot be left in the cage during the night. No Pet Sale or advertising pets for sale allowed in show hall.

It is prohibited to remove cats from the exhibition premises during public opening hours.

According to the legal acts of the Republic of Latvia, cats must have water and litter box available in the cages at least periodically or at all times.

Dinner on Saturday:

Welcome to join the dinner on the top floor of “Bellevue Park Hotel Riga” with a beautiful panoramic view to the city on Saturday, January 31 at 20:00. Enjoy a served 3-course menu in great company! A glass of wine is included, additional drinks will be available for purchase.

Menu for the dinner:

Starter: Pumpkin cream soup with vegetable chips and roasted pumpkin seeds

Main course: Slow-cooked beef cheeks with red wine sauce, honey-roasted root vegetables, potato and truffle puree OR Pan-seared parrotfish fillet with Romesco sauce, Asian vegetables, and warm seaweed & soybean salad

Dessert: Warm apple strudel with creme anglaise sauce and a scoop of vanilla ice cream

A vegan, vegetarian, or other specific diet menu is available on request. The price is 50 EUR per person. To book your place, please send an email to info@cfalatvia.org stating the number of persons and your preferred main course choice. Limited number of seats available. Reservations are possible until the max capacity is reached, but not later than January 25.
